62% Increase in Natural Gas Bill

I am concerned. I just received notice that my natural gas bill will go up from .899 per therm to 1.459 for a fixed rate for 12 months. This is a 62% increase!

How do you think the working class people of this country are going to be able to afford this? What are you doing to alleviate us of these types of increases?

Consider that if we start seeing this type of increases across the board, what is going to happen to our economy? What is amazing is someone is pocketing this increase. The increase has not happened because the cost of production has increased proportionally. You must do something to control this.

Please stop your single issued special interest agendas and find solutions to the real problems facing Americans each and every day. Come off your ivory towers and pass policies and bills to help us.

The Plan for Pre and Post Disasters (Rita) Preparations, Evacuations and Emergency Response

Attitude of solving problems with quick decisive action not congratulating current progress

Send military flights to all airports to transport stranded people since commercial flights are suspended

Identify through traffic cams stranded evacuees and send gas, food, and water and/or buses to pick up the evacuees and get them out of town or to shelters

Develop central command center that assigns quad command leaders to predetermine quadrants of high risk areas and identify and communicate the following:

Quad command leader—Coordinates all activities pre and post Rita should have sub leaders in the area of housing, transportation, water & food, communications, and medical and communicates to central command leader

Quad housing command sub-leader---Identifies pre-shelter needs and assigns people by area to appropriate shelters, Coordinates post-shelter needs and assigns assets accordingly and communicates to command leader

Quad transportation sub-leader---Identifies current assets and establishes transportation routes in and out of high risk areas to ensure supply chain management to meet the needs of the people and communicates to command leader

Quad Water & Food/Medical sub-leader—Assesses pre-Rita assets and ensures that all designated shelters are supplied with essential supplies and continually monitors needs and communicates to command leader

Quad communication sub-leader---Ensures that all leaders have satellite phones and/or radios and maintains open communications links, assesses utility outages and determines needs based on high to low risk to people

Quadrants should be established based on current resources and constantly reassessed as more resources become available establishing smaller and smaller quadrants post Rita to ensure the constant flow of volunteers/donations to affected areas

All volunteers, assets, etc. are tracked by central command and are dispatched per needs of Quad command leaders.

Communicate now pre Rita that all donations assets are to be channeled through central command where appropriate and quad command leaders need to monitor and report asset levels and asset needs so that if volunteers/donations start stock pilling in one quadrant central command can know and determine how to redistribute

Keep attitude on how to solve problems as they arise focusing in on what the needs are and to constantly communicate up the chain of command

Search & Rescue, Emergency Fire & Police and military dispatched by central command to quadrants as request are made or as needs arise. These resources report to quad leaders once assigned and work by grids. As more resources become available grids become smaller and smaller

Judge Roberts best thing since white bread?

Caller on C-Span 9/15/05 said that Judge Roberts is the best thing since white bread. Senator Orin Hatch agreed with the caller. What is white bread? Most nutritionist if not all would say that white bread is not good for us. I see the parallel might be a revelation of what’s to come with the confirmation of Judge Roberts. When white bread came about as this caller suggest it was the best thing. Judge Roberts might be like white bread. At first, before the research is done and effects of his decisions are known, he will be a knight in shinning armor. Will with time, research, and outcomes of his decisions show us that he, like white bread, is not good for us? It seems it is worthwhile to find out now before he is confirmed as the 17th Chief Justice and not repeat the same mistake that we made with white bread.

Independent Commission on Katrina Response

I don't see this as the so called "Blame Game" over the response of Katrina. It is encouraging to see that the President is taking ownership but I believe we must know how to better prepare ourselves and the assets at our disposal to address the needs of the people immediately.

We are talking about sending a man to Mars, yet we don't know how to get immediate assistance to victims of tragedies. We have spent and continue to spend billions of dollars chasing dreams or maintaining false appearances. We need to start spending money on bringing the people of this nation out of oppression and suppression.

We are the most powerful and richest country in the world yet we have tens of millions of people who are without a standard of living that empowers them and enables them to act before disaster strikes and even less to pick up the pieces after it.

There must be an independent commission to study, recommend and put in place solutions that will minimize the fiasco like aftermath of Katrina in the future. We don’t have time to politic over this but need to be urgent in addressing it and solving it now!

If the President wants a legacy, then Mr. President now is the time to be the President that said, “No longer will their be an appearance for appearance sake but a full revelation of who and what we are so we will make the changes that will bring our people out of oppression and suppression and not be just great in appearance but even greater in action”. Yes Fear and Passivity Limit Us

Yes, fear and passivity limit it us by oppressing our thoughts, desires, and emotions. Instead of thinking whats right and wrong one thinks about their own selfishness.

Speak Up & Speak Out

To ignore or not to ignore....I believe we all must speak up and out. I hope that our speaking out is not single issued. We have so many issues to address as a people. A united voice for truth seeking clarity to make informed decisions will achieve great success.
